This is a part time opportunity for two reasons:
1) It will give you a chance to see if you like it
2) It is a commission based industry
You will be taught everything you need to know about mortages, life insurance, investments and money in general. If nothing else, you can get a great financial education that will help you make the right decisions for the rest of your life.
Coming from the Electronics industry, I didn't have very much financial experience myself when I first started but I was amazed how quickly I was able to learn. Putting forth a little effort, it is even possible to make a 6 figure income. Imagine the freedom that will come along with it.
So, if you want to get into an industry where there is good money to be made, this may be for you. On the other hand, if you just want to put in an extra 5 to 10 hours a week and make an extra $1000 to $1500 a month to supplement your income, this is a great way to do that as well.
You will even receive assistance obtaining the licenses you need. This is a licensed industry and about the only thing that would prevent you from receiving a license is if you have a felony record. I'll assume you don't have a felony record but even if you do, a significant other may be able to help.
You will also receive assistance building a succesful business for yourself.
